oppressed humans (Oms) rebel against their
colossal alien masters (Draags) through
knowledge, meditation, and the creation of a
new world. ### Summary On the distant world of
Ygam, the Oms are treated as vermin by the
meditative Draags. When one Om, Terr, learns
the Draags' language and knowledge, he leads a
revolution not of violence, but of
transcendence. The Oms learn to commune in the
same way as their oppressors, hacking
enlightenment itself. They build a new orbital
world — **the Fantastic Planet** — proving
empathy and consciousness are the ultimate
