The paradox: the less we remember, the sharper
the ache. Fragments burn brighter than wholes
because incompleteness demands our devotion.
Whole fades, shards glow — continuity
dissolves but one detail (a laugh, a smell, a
phrase) glows eternal. Clinging ache:
fragments demand reconstruction, magnifying
their weight. Trauma and nostalgia: we obsess
over flashes, not flows. Wholeness soothes,
but fragments haunt.
